NetApp - ocie-recording-cleaning (Unified Manager cron job)
NetApp Solution · Config document · referenced from Unified Manager and API Services
A daily cron job on the Unified Manager server that deletes recording files older than 30 days, so that they do not fill the file system.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Path on the host | /etc/cron.daily/ocie-recording-cleaning |
| Runs on | dc1-a-vcocm001.adm.example.net |
| Owner and mode | root, 700 |
| Product version | OnCommand Unified Manager 9.4 on RHEL 7.5 |
The file
#!/bin/bash find /var/log/ocie/recording -type f -mtime +30 -exec rm -rf {} +
The notes set the mode in two steps, chmod +x and then chmod 700. The -rf is more than files need; -type f already limits the match to files.
Checked against Active IQ Unified Manager 9.18
| As built | Today |
|---|---|
| OnCommand Unified Manager 9.4 on RHEL 7.5 | Active IQ Unified Manager 9.18 on RHEL 8.x or 9.6 |
The product this script cleans up after is now named Active IQ Unified Manager and runs on RHEL 8.x or 9.6; whether the current version still writes recording files under /var/log/ocie/recording could not be confirmed.
