Another Europe sovereign initiative funded - Mistral AI
AI competition is shifting from simply “who has the smartest model” toward who owns the complete enterprise AI stack. For Europe in particular, sovereignty, deployment control and avoiding vendor lock-in are becoming major differentiators. Mistral is positioning itself as a full sovereign-AI stack — open-weight models + compute + infrastructure + production tooling, with an emphasis on keeping enterprise data and workflows under customer control.
